I’m a huge Blitz the Ambassador fan, and this season has been filled with great Blitz-related news. First and foremost, summer is coming, which means a ton of free outdoor shows around the NYC area, and Blitz the Ambassador and his band happen to be involved in quite a few. He’ll be performing (DJ Spinna will also be there that night) at the Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturday event in June, for starters. I suggest going. But even better news was that he released his album, Native Sun, this month (featuring cuts from the homie DJ GI Joe on a few tracks!), and alongside the album came this rather impressive short film of the same title. Peep it, get familiar with the Blitz movement if you haven’t already, and enjoy. Hope to see you in chancletas with a water bottle and some shades at some park in NYC enjoying some sounds this summer, too.
